    Which motherboard???

Hi im going to upgrade. Only thing is i carnt decide which board to choose. My budget is £120 and i already have my q6600 cpu. From Reviews i have been drawn towards these 3 boards

    Re: Which motherboard???

Hmm all nice picks. The only thing I can think to do is throw DFI in there to make it more complicated

Having never had a Biostar board I might not get one, but I've heard this one is very good so .. err.. no problems there..

Very difficult. Are there any particular features you want?

Not really, just a stable board which potential to overclock a little.

Probebly carnt go wrong with any, just thought someone may know something that may help my decision. I also have not tried Biostar, but heard it has good reviews.

    cheers

    Re: Which motherboard???

Afaik the Asus boards offer the best feature set and although their support is dire I've never had a mobo of theirs go wrong so I'd get either that of if you wanted insane overclocking the DFI

Or if you want a uATX.. the DFI but I assume you don't.

Get the P5Q deluxe unless wifi is important to you (And even then, a separate card will probably be a better bet).

Out of curiosity - I think that I'll probably get this one too - but where are you getting it from - CustomPC has it in their last issue at bout £110 but i can only see it for about £130-150, unless etailers are just sqeexing their margins...

yeah thats where i saw it advertised, when i visited the site it had gone up. So went to the site mentioned in custompc for the biostar this had gone up from £95 to £112. I went ahead with the biostar £120 inc postage as that is what i had budgeted.

    Re: Which motherboard???

Not heard of that one before, just looked at the [H]Enthusiast review
    http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/articl...50aHVzaWFzdA==

Looks like they had a lot of problems with 1066mhz memory, kooking about I've seen a few comments about memory stability issues but only with higher speeds, if you've got pc6400 800mhz you should be fine.

Going from just looks alone, I wouldn't like to bet thoes heat sinks are copper, they look suspisiously like copper coloured Aluminium.
Note the colour difference between them and the heat pipe also the outer texture/surface
You'd have to take off one of the heat sinks and compair the weight to a know copper or aluminium heat sink of roughtly the same size (copper is is just over twice the weight of aluminium)
