I've got an AMD S939 Opteron system with 250 MHz capable OC memory and a 8800GT all running on a AN8 Fatality SLI board.
I don't see the point in upgrading my rig for what I do (surfing and gaming) when I am saving up for a....MacBook....to do all my day-to-day computing and keep my PC for gaming and the kids to surf on.
What I DO fancy doing is replacing my Opty 144 which currently runs at 2.5GHz with a beefier CPU to give it some welly and some final legs.
Any thoughts?

Hardware is so cheap these days that it really throws light on how much OS software is as part of the whole package. Retail version of Windows can easily cost more than the hardware cost of an entire computer
