You'd only need extras if you got alot of SATA components. Also your monitors should come with their own cable and every PSU I've ever got always has it's own Kettle plug, even the cheapy ones (I was a noob back then , luckily the PSU's didn't blow up when I put too much load on them)
Is there a particular reason why you're sticking to Vista32 and not going for Vista64?
If it's only based on cost, then your £200 saving more than makes up for an OEM licence of Vista64
For the sake of it, I would go for it. It's not as if you're changing from XP to Vista so you're already used to and love or hate the whole Vista experience thing
Then, you'd be future proofed for no matter how much RAM you put in your system and will get the most out of it.

Thanks guys - what about the hdd, is 32mb cache worth the extra money over 16mb?
On some further research it appears that the 32mb cache is not really worth the extra money.
Some of the components have turned up already. It's been about 5 years since I built my last PC. Can anyone please point me in the direction of a helpful online guide or step by step help for a DIY build?
Can anyone help?
