    DVI cables?

    Well ive got a hdmi to dvi cable(have for over a year) but i just noticed it only has 18 pins and the big one. Im wondering what dvi cable is the best one, there is one that has more pins than this and so i guess that is the higher quality one? if so would it be worth changing cable?(quality increase?). Just wondering so any help is appreciated.

    the d in dvi/hdmi stands for digital, so as long as it works and you have the right resolution, there should be no problem with what you already have

    You can not get a "quality increase" from changing one digital, certified cable to another unless one is faulty.

    Well ill stick this it then , its just i remember there being a lot of different variations of dvi and some actually being analogue(or something like that).

    DVI-I does do analog too... but only if you use a DVI-VGA adapter/cable

    DVI-D is what you will have as thats the only part of the DVI spec HDMI uses.
