So, has anyone got one of these yet? They look like the pick of the bunch to me, at £298.
I'd be interested to know what build quality and the screen is like. Also, do you reckon Ubuntu will go on one of these nicely in place of XP?

Kasavien has one,

Guess what we really need is for Hexus to review one!
I got one of these the other day (and I'm using it to type this), but I haven't had much of a chance to try it out yet. The build quality is spot on and feels really solid as a whole. I'm having a little trouble getting used to the trackpad which seems to be pressure dependant as to what function it performs. The screen seems to be very sharp and doesn't seem to overly suffer from glare/reflection.
I guess Ubuntu would be as suited to this as any netbook with a similar spec in terms of useability. I can't say first hand though. I did read that the battery life on the NC10 isn't as impressive when using a different OS because you don't have the Samsung battery power saving tools installed which were used to get the advertised 7.5 hour battery life. I don't have the link at hand for whre I read this, but I think it was on www.liliputing.com
I love my NC10 it's everything I hoped for from a netbook, using it now on the train back from holiday and it works a charm. Battery life is excellent too, I get at least 6hours from a charge, but to be honest I've not used it long enough to drain the battery. It's great for day to day tasks and I've installed Steam on it and UT2K4 works well as does Quake Team Arena but both need a mouse to be playable. As it is it's great for Peggle :p
Not sure what else to say, it seems to cope well with a few things running, I've used it mainly for Internet and Windows Mail with Skype or MSN open too and it copes well. Iplayer is good, IE7 can be a bit slow to load some heavy flash pages though.
All round it's a good little laptop, really pleased I bought one!
I had an advent 4211 for a few months and loved it but the 3 cell battery was a bit of a pain so I sold it on, have been looking at these and they seem a good buy, the ram is upgradable via a door on the bottom right? the 4211 had to be taken apart to upgrade the ram.
The NC10 has a RAM access panel on the base with a single screw holding it in place. No where near as complicated as upgrading the 4211
Yeah, it's a 2.5" drive and there isn't an access panel for that. It comes with an XP recovery disc and a Samsung software recovery disc to get it back to its factory state. Remember that it doesn't have a disc drive though
Just had a quick look, this should help with the HDD upgrade

Just a quick note misco have currently got one with 160gb HD and 1gb ram for £299.99

How much more HD space do you need on a netbook?
Yeah, that's the standard configuration (and the same model I have ) You can get it for the same price at Ebuyer and Play.com (Just search for NC10), although for some reason Amazon have it priced higher.
