Price check

im looking to sell my current rig to finance a new lan box.

basically it's everything in my system dialog bar the video card and the power supply.
what im selling is

• 2 x opteron 875
• Asus K8n-dl Dual opteron board
• 4 GB Ecc Ddr ram
• Akasa Eclipse 62
• 160gb Maxtor hard drive
• 250bg Samsung hard drive
• Nec dvd-rw
• Samsung dvd drive

thing is is i don't know how much it's worth now. so i really need to know how much it's worth.

Hi Alsenior ,

Its very hard to range.

The CPU is worth a bit brand new it seems and the 8800 and PSU are pretty good. DDR is reasonably cheap but since its ECC it could hold a higher price.

It would be interesting to see what others think too.

PS - found a second hand x2 CPU like yours on Ebay for £121 = http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-X-AMD-Optero...3286.m63.l1177

So not as much as i first thought.

Ok I am going to say £300 - £400 , rough but somewhere in there i think.

Ebay is not a good indicator, some stuff go for double price there. Sorry Alsenior, no one knows how to value such illiquid stuff like this.

Your best bet is to let the market decide. Stick it on ebay and see what happens. Or you could always advertise it on the forums with a high price and take lower offers.

Good point SiM. Its worth what someone is willing to pay i guess.

But since it was the only place i could find a second hand CPU alsenior has i found it relevant in this case.

But as you stated it could be completely off scale to the correct value.
