No DFI SB750 mobo with digital PWMs - so which DFI SB750 is best to buy?

    Hi,

I was thrilled to see that the dfi lanparty dk 790FXB-M2RSH was out, with it's new brand spankly new sb750 south bridge. However, this isn't the one with digital PWMs is it? Does anyone have knews of when the sb750 version of the highest end 790FX motherboard will be out, with the digital PWMs?

    Thanks

They won't be releasing it I read somewhere I guess there isn't enough demand... maybe they will release an AM3 version next year?

Bah *sniff*. I changed the subject of the topic to my next question

So there's the 790FX version with SB750 motherboard left now, and the 790G version. Neither use digital PWMs. Oh well, will have to mount a fan to blow over them. So which would is recommended? I don't ever intend to go Tri-SLI, so that aspect is irrelevant. The 790FX is the older chip, and is 65nm - I read the 790GX is 55nm, and it's the newer chip, so I think I'll go for the 790GX version - what do you guys think about that?

    Thanks

p.s. I was surprised that eBuyer got the board in so soon after its release. The SB600 version wasn't out in the UK for several months after its release.

in my experience digital PWM tends to run hotter than analogue anyway.

Yah, but they're more stable and require less cooling. Apparently. Bah, who cares? I should stop being so silly as to get myself down over such a minor thing.
