found a nice system on 3xs system site opinions please/help

right heres what ive customised of this site http://3xs.scan.co.uk called 3xs intel x58 core i7 custom pc

so far how ever if i choose a graphics card in both the nvidia and ati section will this duel them ? or would i have to pick 2 from 1 section eg 2 from nvidia have left this not required at the moment untill understood so far the price is 1.804.93 quite tempted to go to the intel core i7 940 for an extra 200 undecided on that option does anyone recommend anything better? also im a military personnel based in germany does this mean i can claim for tax free?
    many thanx

No Idea about the tax thing but you will need either 1 graphics only (from either ATi or Nvidia) or Two that match (2x Nvidia or 2x ATi).

They are fantastic PC's but certainly not cheap.

What resolution are you planning to game at?

There are some good crossfire setups going around, HD4850 or HD4830's scale very well in crossfire in most games.

One GTX280 is generally going to be all most people need at 1920 x 1200 though, probably too much lol

Re: found a nice system on 3xs system site opinions please/help

A pair of 4850s in crossfire is probably better than a GTX280. This obviously comes with the caveat that crossfire does not always work as well as you may like and in those cases the 280 is better. If you happy spending £200+ then I would go for crossfired 4850s or if you want to save a few pound then crossfired 4830s (will have to ring Scan up for a price on that though, if its £160+VAT then it is a bargain compared to any of the single card options at that price point).

You using a 19" monitor? If so a single 4870, GTX260 or crossfired 4830s will be more power than you will ever need, crossfired 4850s and GTX280 are just overkill

IIRC the tax for military personal on bases is the same as the UK, so as not to cause problems with foriegn customs tampering with mail destined for the armed forces.

Scan pre-built systems are very nice and from what i have heard/read, they are great quality.
Way too expensive on the whole though so definitely not good value.

If you are in the British Forces, but just serving in Germany, then no you cant get any tax relief.

You are still a British citizen and are paid that way.

    (Nice try though)
