    Scan Q9550 E0

    Hi fellas,

Anyone know if Scan are shipping the E0 stepping Q9550 please? As I would prefer one over the older C1 steppings.

    TIA

    Re: Scan Q9550 E0

The stepping is like the revision of the CPU, it relates to the upgrades made to the CPU over time.. e.g. My CPU is a Q6600 with a 'G0' stepping this is the latest revision of that chip and the one that most choose as it's able to overclock better than previous 'B3' revision with less voltage and lower temperatures.

The Q9550 are using revisions C1 And E0 with E0 being the latest stepping revision.

    Take a look here.....
