I am trying to help a friend with a new laptop, budget is £400 inc vat & delivery

As it comes with Vista, needs to be home premium

Minimal 2GB ram, 120GB+, DVDRW, 14"/15" Display, Wireless, 2/4 USB

Will be used for surfing the net, music, web design, Google Earth

Also look at the Toshiba Satellite Pro's

Also you might want to look at some of the Asus laptops, the x50 x51
I'm not sure exactly what they are like but look good value.
no idea what this place is like but it gives you an idea of them

    Re: Laptop Recommendation

I'd say the dell is better value if you want a dedicated gfx card or HD capable integrated (x4500HD).

The toshiba is better value otherwise.

I'd skip on asus due to the support but try ebuyer or something as I too have no idea about simplyasus.
