    S775 mobo advice

    Hi all,
I'm looking to get a motherboard for a friend who's wanting to overhaul his PC. It's going to have a C2D E6600, 2x2gb sticks of DDR2 RAM, and he wants to use it mostly as a media, browsing and MS works PC. I would like something that can take moderate overclocking, and doesn't make too much noise either.
The other thing to consider is that he wants good sound, so either quality integrated sound, or i'll get a separate sound card.
Budget between 40 and 60 ideally.
    Thanks,
    Max

    Probably that

although the mobo power connector is poorly placed.

Over budget but i would maybe go for this

Sweet lord the king has returned!!

Sorry although it's an older chipset it's still perfect for an E6600 even when overclocking. My old favourite

Yeh baby, the dark raider is back.

The DFI BLood Iron was about £60 too, but looks like that's gone now...

    Nice ninja Mike

Well it is the older P35 chipset but there aren't any particular performance differences afaik. It's a really great board though, fantastic layout and quality for the money
