The Dell keyboards are nice how they hug the outside edge of the keys, pretty sturdy too. Not very thin (heightwise) if that matters.

One thing I should point out about the one I linked to, it's not a laptop scissor action it's a standard keyboard type.
generally laptop keys are not a problem, but if picked at or generally abused they can break far more easily.
