Talking Taken the plunge! New shuttle!

Well finally got fed of looking, comparing prices, specs etc and ordered my system up today! I decided on a Pentium system, just because I know my way around them and still don't trust AMD (I just dont - sorry !) Anyway here's the spec:

    Shuttle XPC SB62G2
    Pentium 4 3.2ghz 800Fsb 512k Cache
    Corsair 1GB DDR XMS3200LLPT TwinX (2x512MB) CAS2
Maxtor DiamondMax Plus9 Serial ATA 120GB 8MB Cache
Sapphire ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB DDR TV-Out/DVI - Lite
(these are a bargin @ overclockers.co.uk at the mo!)
LG 16x48 IDE DVD-ROM BLACK Drive

Should all be here for next week so I'll update then. Probably need a trip to cables 'r' us too but hey - its all good learning!

    NuBoy!

good to here , shame you didnt go for an AMD one though (SN41G2 owner here )

is this your first shuttle ? if so you wont regret moving into the SFF market, there great little things
i dont think you'll need to bother getting cable's though as the case already comes with spiral wrap etc. in it.

looks like a great little system you've got there , good luck with it

Right then - finally built the thing after a week of DIY!!! Installed XP home, updated some drivers and it looks lovely! (Pics soon)

I ran a couple of benchmarks - straight out the box, no tweaks

    Memory Bandwidth: 4069.83MB/s
Memory Latency (512 byte stride): 339 Cycles, 105.70ns
PiFast to 10m places: 43.66 seconds

Compare this to the SB62G2 reviewed here : http://www.hexus.net/content/reviews...JsX3BhZ2U9OA==
