    Re: your CPU temps

My temps are 66-66-65-65 with intelcpuburn. (After tweaking my volts - was using volts for 3.6GHz when I was only at 3.3GHz!). You got a good Q6600 matty!

well i can get upto 3.28GHz on stock voltage, so i'd say my chip is pretty good, yeah
only bump the voltage up to 1.36v to get 3.8GHz 2H stable in ORTHOS aswell..
    and 1.32v for 3.6GHz

EDIT: that's the BIOS voltage. only need 1.3v in CPU-Z for 3.8GHz.

slightly colder room than before but same voltage.

I haven't got a clue how that has a decimal value

I just set the FSB to 333 Mhz as opposed to 400 Mhz and the DFI motherboard does all the rest of the hard, tricky work for me.

    Re: your CPU temps

Ideally I'd say under 55C but I've run an overclocked Q6600 for over a year on heavy usage with temps up to 65C in summer with a mis-mounted waterblock and it never fell over.

it depends on what chip it is, as to what i determine is an acceptable value...

    IIRC mine is currently ~50c
