    processor help

    i have recently ordered and received this product, after looking closer i noticed it says OEM at the end instead of retail in the description. can someone tell me what the difference between the two is. from what i can gather the oem doesnt come in a proper box.

    Hi,
    The main difference is that the OEM doesnt come with the intel stock cooler, which is normally ok, as a lot of the time, you will use an aftermarket cooler anyway, also, in this case, you dont get a copy of Far Cry 2 i believe with the OEM, whereas the retail you do, however, im pretty sure you can get Far Cry 2 for less than the difference between the two, (£35), and so if you are going to be using an aftermarket cooler anyway, I would go for the OEM, unless you really need all of the documentation......

    thanks, i already have farcry 2 , and im gonna try usin my freezer 7 pro cooler on it, i was just worried id bought a different one that wouldnt fit my motherboard thats all. it was on offer at the time for £218 which was a good deal so im glad i got the right one after all
