Anyone own the Samsung T220?
Anyone seen it? Know how good it is? Is it worth £240?
20,000:1 ratio... 2ms...
Thanks

I always find Cnet a bit overly harsh on their reviews. So should be good.
For that price tbh I rather get a 24" screen though. They would be better value.
Or you could easily get your self 2 22" for the same price.
lol everyone always says "24 inch"... I think even 22" is too big for my needs but I'm willing to make an exception, if I don't like it, then oh well, but I usually sit very close to my monitor, no more than a metre away, so I don't want to have to tilt my head to be able to see everything.
Thanks for the review, I actually hadn't read that one yet...
lol yeah I stared at a CRT at 100hz for about 4 years straight all day every day...
Maybe I was not color blind before then, but I don't remember... I have trouble distinguishing certain colors from one another...
I can see all colors, so it's nothing to complain about, but I do fail vision tests when they ask me to tell them if the light is white, red, or green... lol
What is the top performing LCD for hardcore gaming at the moment?
I don't care about size, I just want to know what the best one is in terms of NO GHOSTING... brilliant contrast... you know, be able to see everything the game designers meant you to see... etc...
Thanks
I got it from Ebuyer when it was £220 with £40 cashback as an introductory offer, and I've been really happy with it. Just don't bother installing the pointless software.
Curry's have the best price on this at the moment, £195 !
My only criticism is that having the controls on the side makes them a pain to use.
Do you fiddle with the controls much?
Must admit I don't like the curvy bezzle much, I prefure a slim bezzle, side buttons are good here as you don't get added thichness to the base of the bezzle and the buttons are hidden from view.
One thing that really puts me off an lcd monitor looks wise is a big thick chunk of bezzle below the screen.
Thanks a lot everyone for the comments, they're appreciated.
I'm actually considering a couple of 20" as an option now... I'm interested in Samsung because they're known to be good-performance monitors for gamers, seeing as they're trusted enough to be used at the WCG (World Cyber Games)...
Samsung SM2053BW 20" TFT Monitor 1680x1050 8000:1 300cd/m2 2ms VGA/DVI-D Glossy Black 3 Years On-Site Warranty £125
and
BenQ G2010WA 20.1" TFT Monitor 1680x1050 250cd/m2 3000:1 (dynamic) 5ms 16:9 DVI-D/VGA
They're both good, so I guess it's up to just a matter of opinion.
I'm a perfectionist, so I like to spend a lot of time investigating everything, as it is already known, and reading as much as I can and getting feedback for the best possible outcome.
So thanks again.
Look, these gamer endorsements are completely worthless; Fatal1ty stuff is no faster or better than the normal stuff most of the time.
I have 2 of these(well 2 T220HD)....the main reason i got them was that i got them for a VERY reasonable price of £180, dont ask cant be got anymore.
There really nice, im still figuring them out. i have a gtx 260 linked to both, i can watch tv in one, computer in other or vice versa.
I find 22 inch plenty big enough, was considering 24 but i dont miss it.
They look nice, display well, and there very bright, (u will need to tone down the brightness to watch tv but u can one button this off the controller.
The main problem ive had with them is that with having 2 the both operate off the same controller, hilarity ensues...lol but its ok worth it to have neat monitors...
I recommend them. However if u r wanting a monitor (ie T220 not T220HD), imo u might be better going for another monitor, as the T220 is the none tv version of the T220HD(the one i have) And i believe u can get samsung monitors with slightly better stats that are more reasonable.
