    4 gig or 6 gig?

I have just ordered 4 gig memory upgrade http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?ProductId=21486 but I am wondering if I should install it along side my current 2 gig of generic memory (not sure of its timings but I am fairly sure it will be slower) giving me the total of 6 gig or if I should remove the 2 gig and keep the system at 4 gig with just the new memory?

OS is Vista 64 and the machine is used for games and video encoding

I'd probably just use the old stuff as spare, you probably won't use all of 4GB let alone 6GB but it wouldn't hurt.

Takes the strain off the mobo more than anything.
