New Keyboard

Hello all,

Well I get paid from my new job on Friday, so thought I would treat myself for all my hard work .

So, I think I am going to buy myself a new keyboard, I have had the Razer Lycosa (Spelling?), recommended to me. I would like a gaming keyboard as I am quite a gamer, so has anyone got any suggestions?

I don't have a limit so to speak..or atleast I won't have until I know exactly how much monies I get paid , but I don't want to spend a stupidly large amount on a keyboard.

The razer is~ £50 yes? The saitek cyborg is certainly one to look at, not sure if you want "gaming" looks or just nice(razer is nice).

newer variations of the Lycosa are coming out v soon, might want to wait for them.

G15, typical gamers keyboard, does its job brilliantly

G15 if you get lots of monies, Saitek eclipse if you get less monies

Oh yeh cant believe i forgot that one, saitek eclipse revision 3 does look nice aswell.

the Saitek Cyborg is the one I'd go for if I wanted programmable keys etc - otherwise I'd stick with my Saitek Eclipse II

Wow, a lot to cover..where to start.

I currently have a Saitek Eclipse 2, which I like, but am getting a bit bored of it, it's still in perfect working order, the keys have the usual wear from heavy gaming sessions.

The cyborg, I don't really like the look of it, it just doesnt look right.

The G15, thanks, but no thanks, I think the keyboard is far too big and generally dont like the look or feel of it (gf has one, used it, didnt like it).

Oooh newer variations of new Lycosa, any idea when these will be turning up?

I prefer a mixture of looks and feel.

It looks like a toned down version of the Cyborg which is good.

Indeed......I was unaware that a 3rd edition had come out. Looks really nice

You can order them now directly from Razer's EU site but they're expensive

There's the Razer Arctosa in Silver (and black but just black, for the hardcore). These are cheaper than the Lycosa but it's the same thing as the original only without LED backlights.

It's the same as the standard one but in a uniform shiny finish - I held off getting the original because I wasn't really a fan of the rubber keys, so this is exactly what I want. Again though, it's quite expensive

Looks about the same size as the Eclipse, maybe slightly bigger, will need to check, the Eclipse just about leaves me just enough space for me mouse matt.

G15 is still worth getting despite it being too big - unless it simply won't fit.
I've been looking to buy a very nice sounding gaming Gigabyte keyboard for a couple of months now, but it just does not seem to be available to buy anywhere

My reason for not getting a G15 isnt just down to its size, I think its just plain ugly tbh.
