Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?

I hate to say it, but peanuts. Your best bet is to make up one functioning "internet" PC and flog it locally (needs at least one DVD RW drive and you will either have to get a second optical or find one of the missing cd bay covers). The rest is car boot sale stuff.

I know its not worth alot these days, thats why it was all sat in the actic!

but what do you think of this

    ASUS A7M266-D board (dual cpu) , 2x AMD XP1800's (modded to MP's), 2x 256 DDR 2100 ECC ram, 1x 512 DDR 2100 ECC ram (with hsf's)= £30 inc
    2x 512 DDR 3200 ram = £12 inc?
    1X WD800 80 GIG IDE, 1x Maxtor D740X-6L 80 gig IDE = £12 inc
    1x AMD A64 3200 CPU (CBBID) = £10 inc
    GeForce (4?) 7800GT 256MB DDR3 dual DVI PCI-E = £15/20? inc
AG Neovo 19 inch TFT = £35/40 inc
Antic tower (like chieftec dragon (purple, 2 cd bays missing, 500w PSU)
    Linksys ADSL2 Modem (ADSL2MUE) boxed, Linksys Wireless - B Router (BEFW11S4) boxed £15 inc

Re: Price check on some older hardware please

I think some of those may be a little low - the GFX card & Monitor aren't so bad. OTOH I can't think who would want the DDR2100. I have several sticks rotting away.

But I reckon if you could put them together as one box you could do better. Unfortunately you missed the best time, someone looking for a cheap PC for Xmas could have been tempted a few weeks ago.

Re: Price check on some older hardware please

Does that mean normal RAM doesn't work with that mobo? In that case, bummer. You'd have to find two people with bust mobos on fleabay to get anything for that lot then IMO. Might as well split it, but offer a postal discount on anyone buying more than one item.
