    Don't make me install it!

After recently buying a Logitech MX700, (from the what mouse poll results ) I'm a bit hesitant to install the mouse-ware software...

I would like to be able to change the function of the back/forward buttons to something else. Can this be done without the buggy mouse-ware being installed? Is there a windows tool that can recognise and bind mouse 4 & 5 ?

Yeah, the latest version of mouseware's fine. Got it in service on tons of machines; no stability or functionality problems.

    Smile

The mouse-ware that comes with the MX700 is buggy, esp. with games like cs or Unreal II.

But, the latest patch on Logitech's UK site fixes all the problems.

    Best mouse I've ever owned.

I only have one issue with the software, it's when you play a game and the back/forward mouse buttons don't work.

It's easily solved by double clicking the mouse in the task bar and then closing it again. Usually works for me, it's annoying when it happens though
