    Q35 Mobo

May be able to get hold of an Asus P5E-VM DO Q35 motherboard for a deal and was thinking of building a HTPC using this and some spares I have. Would this board be ok for Overclocking? I want mATX but wasn't sure if the Q35 Bios would be as flexible as a G35 Bios since they are designed more for office PCs

I think it will have the necessary bios to overclock from what I've seen but whether it will do it very well is another strong.

What components are you dropping in it? The onboard graphics will stuggle with 1080p so have you got a dedicated card?

    It'll have a pentium dual core, a ATI 2400pro, 80gb HDD, 2x512mb PC5300, will need a case and PSU.

I've read G3X boards overclock better once the onbaord GFX is disabled, but I doubt I'll need any more than 333fsb

    Re: Q35 Mobo

    That should be fine then

You shouldn't need much more than £70 for the case and PSU.
