    Vista Installing error

Installing Vista Ultimate works fine until it gets to Expanding Files:27% when it says it has to reboot. After the reboot it's still on 27% and doesnt move. I lft it running overnight and it was still on 27%.
ive tried a few times now an sometimes it comes up with Error 0x80070002 - Could not install, file missing etc. but not always. Most of the time it just hangs at 27% and does nothing. Ive tried changing the cables on the HDD, the DVD drive and one thread I read said that removing all USB devices solved the problem. (It didnt)
Has anyone seen this error before or has any ideas how to fix it?

is your hard drive on some kind of Raid controller? Do you need to install drivers for it? is the BIOS set correctly for the hard drive ?

    Re: Vista Installing error

Its a Samsung HD502IJ if that helps.

What is going on??? Ive looked on the samsung website and there is no mention AT ALL of the HD502IJ. All the lists go up to HD501 and then on to something else. I've even taken the HDD out of the PC to check it and it definitely is an HD502IJ which, according to Samsung at least, doesnt exist.
