I have just rehoused my system into am antec nsk-2480 and for a cheap case - I think it looks lovely
And with a fanless scythe mini ninja, 2*120mm fans connected to the cpu_fan header controlled by speedfan and a Palit 9800gt wiith its fan at 3.8Vconstant it is super quiet and adequately cool.
Chuffed to bits - miles better than my water cooled hiper-media chassis contraption!.

as stated before it is now very quiet.
loudest component is samsung spinpoint hdd - and that is not particularly loud.
Finally my htpc is quiet and reliable.

I'm sure I know you from Aria forums by your watercooled media center, was it connected to a central heating radiator by chance?
