how to cut through metal on the antec 900

basically im annoyed about the clutterness of cables in my antec 900
so basically i wanted to put a couple of holes in it, so i can run some cables through the other side of the case, such as the power cables and sata cables for the cd drives, hdd and the cpu power cable etc

so basically has anyone got any tips on any tools such as drills or anything that i can use to make these holes

Dremel is the best way, not too expensive either.

Just be careful and make sure to remove all debris before reinstalling components...

Yeah a dremel, make sure you do it slowly...you can get one from most DIY stores like BnQ, not sure but I think Argos may even stock something similar.

When you've cut the hole, get some plastic sleeving and cut it lengthways. Then pipe it round the inside of the the cut to cover the sharp bits. Handy stuff.

That's a good deal, there should be cutting discs included in there.

That's a good idea. What sort of pipe/hose would you recommend? I guess it would need to have a very small internal diameter. Something fairly soft would also add as vibration damping for fans.

was just looking in my drawer and i have an old rf antenna cable things , and was thinking that the ends of it could be chopped off, and then slicing it down the centre, with a stanley, all the way long and removing whatever cables are inside of it.
a bit like gutting a fish

is what your cutting going to be bare metal or painted? if its bare you could always break out the wet&dry to smooth and round off the edge. of course the tubing will help if the hole ends up "less then perfect
