Erm, help?



Currently trying to get the optical out on the onboard Realtek ALC885 to work under Vista Ultimate. However, it only wants to offer me Coaxial audio - anyone had a go at doing this?

Actually, pressed a few buttons and it started working - no idea how/why what for.

The software is crap compared with the Soundstorm Audio I had in my Abit NF7.


As a result, would anyone like to suggest a soundcard that does 5.1 creation over Optical (Speaker Fill basically) as though my amp does it, I'd prefer computer control over it. Any ones to suggest?
