messed up forum account? profile page says will101 but he's got the smiley in his name here. I'm guessing the forum might be missing the posts cos of that.

I think Moogle has hit the nail on the head.

The forums know you should have an avatar (hence the space under your user name) but it parsing it to to will-.gif instead of will-).gif.

Either the forum should be fixed to allow ':' or it should be fixed to not let you use that in a username in the first place.

Yeah seems the avatar part of the code doesn't follow the same renaming scheme as the profile or the forum (like when you visit his profile it's will-.html etc..)

All the more reason to keep usernames alphanumeric

No thats the problem, both the avator and profile link parsing use the wrong method, the both end up as Will-.xxx instead of Will-).xxx

It's broken one was or t'other.

You don't fix it, the developer(s) of the vBSEO code fix it and then Steve applies the fix

Either that or you get the admins to change your username to something less confusing.

vB is serving a 1x1pixel gif to your browser whic is scaling it to the dimensions of his right avatar.
