    sk41g

Has anyone used a 2400XP chip with a shuttle SK41g?

I wasn't having any issues until when it was being read as an 1800XP.

Then I updated the BIOS and took the FSB jumper off and isn't happy.

It keep rebooting and/or blue screening.

I've changed the peripherals around, etc...with no +ve effect

    Help...

    hi there

my sk41g has an xp2400 (2.0ghz) init its the perfect chip for this machine tbh, have youn tried clearing cmos since activating 133fsb iirc i think i had a similar issue when i bought my sk41g early last year,i didnt bother updating my bios tho the stock 1 was good enuff as it recognised the 2400 without issue.

I've cleared the CMOs = no difference.

When the Jumper is 'Open' for the 133 FSB then the machine plays up.

I have tried different RAM, CD, HDD and memory.
    Thanks for your suggestions.
I think it might actually be teh dodgy CPU I bought from e-bay.
