    7,
Ahh, well Silverpower aren't well known PC killers so I have a feeling it might have damaged little or nothing. Good luck with the RMA

Actually is fairly surpriseing, they are not bargin bucket psu's
They are a lower cost few frills psu aimed at bussines/home server/general use.
Maxpoint (the parent company) basically started it up to create a seperate brand from there higher end/gameing psu brand (namely Tagan)
This PSU has two motherboard connectors for use on skulltrail and such dual cpu motherboards, it's not really designed for a high spec gameing rig.

Some silverpower models have been better than others but all told they are not much to right home about, middle of the road things.

That said for a 850w psu that really shouldn't of gone bang with that system spec. but every make has the occasional bad unit.

Yup, as was the PSU of mine that blew up. It certainly wasn't overloaded. It just crapped out.

    Re: PC Goes Pop!

defo power supply there, and may have caused damage to other components, but unlikely

btw does your psu have an option to change from 230v to 115v if so this may have been knocked into the 115v position and so pop went psu when 230v went through it!
    Insert clever sig here...

I take it you had the same model Saracen?
If so did you RMA? and if you did what was your RMA experience like?
