    X1950XTX Cooling

Can someone point me in the right direction to get a cool for my card. It's running very hot and is quite loud when the fan kicks off.
    Thanks

    Re: X1950XTX Cooling

I use the Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 on my x1950pro.

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Arcti...eatpipes-(4850)

My idle/load temperatures went from 45/85 to 30/42 on the GPU core. But the VRM heat spreader for the pro version isn't much good and the VRMs, measured in Riva Tuner, still get up to around 90*C. Also, the RAM sinks weren't sticky at all so I had to use some thermal tape. The biggest advantage is that I can use it without a fan, which is a huge improvement over the whoosh of the stock cooler.

I've got an Accelero X2 on my X1900, a lot better than the stock cooler, I plan to water cool the X1900 next week so it'll be for sale.

    Re: X1950XTX Cooling

The S1 works well on the XTX, i've got one strapped to mine You might want to invest in a Turbo Module though just in case. I've never needed to use mine, but the card is sat in an Antec 900. In a smaller case with worse airflow it'd probably be needed.

EDIT: Blimey! I can't believe how much the price of these has gone up! Bought mine a year ago and the S1 was a tenner, the Turbo Module a fiver! It's not £26 for the pair at Scan
