    Question Problem with ABIT AT7

    ABIT AT7
    512mb Corsair pc2700
    Radeon7500
    Western Digital 200gb caviar
    Thermaltake 430 butterfly purepower PSU
    Thermaltake VM3000a Skull Case.

I have just rebuilt my pc as I bought the above case. Everything was working fine before I transplanted my pc but in the new case I cannot get any display on my monitor at all. Monitor shows no input signal. I tried a different graphics card, different monitor and diff monitor cable but to no avail. I have not changed anything from the last setup apart from a new heatsink. When I power on the PC it seems to start ok as the fans all start and the CD drives start to access but still no display. I have also reset the CMOS but still nothing.

    Any ideas?

Sounds like a memory failure. Some biostar boards i've got here were initially working fine with Kingston HyperX, but each and every single one of them eventually started throwing up bios corruption errors, before simply booting up with a black screen. It turned out it hates HyperX ram for some reason. A quick replacement of the RAM (KingMaxx 3500) and each board I test now boots fine.

So try swapping the memory out...

Check the bottom of the motherboard to make sure nothing is shorting out connections on the back. I once put one too many standoffs in my case and it was only when I was removing the board to RMA it that I figured out what the problem was!

Cool Re: Problem with ABIT AT7

Try pulling uot the graphics card them reseating it, it resets the VGA Bios. It worked for me until I wacked my rig with ESD. Not It doesn't do anything.

are there any beeping from the motherboard? sometimes you can use the bios beeps to determine the problem.
