I am looking at getting a basic colour laser printer (HP CP1515N) and I expect to be printing about 1000 pages a month of mixed colour and black. Does anyone know if this low end printer will be able to cope with that?

According to the specification on the HP site, it has a monthly A4 duty cycle of 30000 pages

wow, can that be right? That is just under a page a minute ever day of the month!
If you're worried, why not buy two?
I have the 1515N but do not put out anywhere near the numbers you are looking at......
I can say that for a cheap colour laser it's build quality seems considerably higher then I was expecting.
Also, if you want to expand the memory at all, get it from http://www.digitalkind.co.uk .....it cost me £9 for a 256MB upgrade that costs £300-£400 everywhere else!!!
The problem with cheap colour lasers is the cost of the replacement toner cartridges. Also the supplied cartridges you initially get with most of the printers have a smaller capacity than the replacement ones(they are starter cartridges).
I would investigate this first before buying the printer.
