Question DFI P45 mobos: 2 @ similar price on Scan but which is better?

Hi, they are the Blood Iron (Scan code: LN26031) and the Lanparty (LN24601). As far as I can tell, there's not much difference between them. Though the copy & pasted Chinglish on the Blood Iron Product Overview doesn't do it any favours...

Has any1 got experience of either of them?

    Cheers

The lanparty is better and cheaper, so go get that. =)

If you notice the model number the lanparty is the "plus" version of the same board, also it has a better heat sink, looks better, better connection layout, better colour, and is also slightly bigger.

    =)

The Lanparty is the better board the Blood & Iron is the lower series of boards no idea why it is priced at that level.

Infinate, the plus is because it was a newer revision of that board the B&I and Lanparty DK are completely different boards in almost every way.

Thumbs up Re: DFI P45 mobos: 2 @ similar price on Scan but which is better?

    Thanks for the input guys!

If I can hijack my own thread: How does the Lanparty compare to the Biostar TP45 (Scan LN25303)? That's slighter cheaper but looks fairly good too...

Re: DFI P45 mobos: 2 @ similar price on Scan but which is better?

Personally I would take the DFI over the Biostar, the Biostar Tpower P45 (more expensive model) was renowned for very good overclocking and I would have no qualms using the cheaper boards if given to me.

My main bonus for the DFI is that the northbridge heatsink can be removed without removing all the heatpipes to the Voltage regs which would be important to me as I have a NB water block but not Mosfet ones and so that would save me a fair old chunk of cash potentially
