    First Yukon retial laptop?

My ebuyer eblast this morning had this laptop as its featured product. Am I going mad, or is this (judging by the spec) the first Yukon laptop available from retail in this country? And if so, WHY HASN'T HEXUS MENTIONED IT!?!

Looking at the recommended retail, it would appear that AMD are going to deliver on their £300 - £500 price target, and stack up the features too. Coolness abounds... now, where's that spare £300 I had kicking around...

What makes you think it's Yukon? 2hr life out of 6 cell batteries and lack of 802.11n wireless makes me think it's not Yukon.

    Yukon is expected in April.

Isn't that just a 1.6ghz athlon sitting on a 690G chipset though, not Yukon?

Erm... possibly? Do AMD already produce a mobile version of 690G? It's quite possibly I was just getting over-excited: dull day in work today

So what's the big difference in Yukon from an existing mobile 690G then? Lower power-draw?

Yes - the chipset (690E) and new Neo CPU will together only draw 25W.

Fair enough - don't you just hate it when over-excited fanboys start spouting rubbish on forums...
