Need advise on which GFX card(s) for 2 monitor setup, one 30"

Hi I am looking to get a 30" monitor to go along side my existing 20". I am using a 512 8800gts at the moment but as the 30 uses dual link dvi inputs i will need more than the 2 i have on this card.
I mainly use the computer for poker but also some games.
I was condiereing getting a 4850X2 as it has 4 dvi outputs but it is quite expensive and i havnt had my current card for that long really.
What about getting a cheap 2nd GTS and sli ing them? I'm not sure if multi monitor setups work on sli or Xfire tho so would appreciate it if anyone knew!
    Cheers

    Hi Bosh,

As far as I am aware multimonitor with SLI and Xfire is fine, it has been ok with Xfire for a while but only recently with drivers above 180. So you could SLI your graphics cards, but I would be worried that 512mb is not going to be enough memory to pull that off, if I was you I would be thinking about something like a 4870x2/4850x2 or a GTX295 to be driving those sorts of resolutions while gaming anything even remotely new.
