Bought this for the media pc ( from scan ) and its just on full power all the time, tried plugging it into the sys fan port on the mobo and its the same, is this supposed to be like this ? bit of a pain to take the mobo out again and fit the original + a waste of money on the cooler.
Any chance a mod can move this to the correct part of the forum, put it in here by mistake, should be in help and advice ?
did you check that the fan controller in the bios is set correctly?
Everything in the bios seems to be set as it should be, would it matter that it was a 3pin cpu fan going onto a 4 pin CPU fan header on the mobo ? saying that it still does it when i put it to the 3pin sys fan header.
Mobo is an Abit AN-M2HD, what do you mean by fan controller, the sys eq lark ?
Just read on another forum that alot of AM2 mobo's that feature 4pin cpu headers will not support the older 3pin fans.
Anybody recommend a decent AM2 cooler with 4 pin ?

LOL great minds think alike, just posted a question in the scan forum regarding its expected delivery for today ! Will pick one of those up if they come in stock, i run the Arctic Freezer 7 on my 775 beast.
