So i'm going to get one of these next week but i've heard of loads of issues such as PSU problems, BIOS problems and so forth. Are there any things i should know before i build the system?
If this has been said before just point me in the right direction

The PSU issues have been sorted with recent batches of the SN41G2, so nothing really to worry about there.
I've had mine for over 8 months now, and it runs 24/7, and not have one single problem with it at all.
The most problem I've heard about it is ram compatibility, in particular it doesn't seem to like Kingston ram so much. I run Samsung in mine, I've had Corsair XMS and cheapo Hynix and not had a problem.
So another thought, i was weighing between the SN41G2 and the SN45G
I know the differences but i had loads of warnings about the SN45G. True?
No idea, the SN45 is quite an old model now, and never had the chance to look at it closely. By the time the Shuttle SFFs became mainstream, the SN41G2 had been released, and everyone chose that over the older model. TBH, for an extra £10-15, the performance gain by the SN41G2 heavily outweighs the SN45 cheaper price tag.
The SN45G appeared after the SN41G2... It lacks the on board graphic of the SN41G2 but other than that and different style of case front it doesn't get much different.
Uh... using the same components the SN45G should be faster. If you don't need the integrated graphics, it's definitely the better choice.
Proplus, the SN45 appeared AFTER the sn41g2, and the performance capabilities of the boards are very similar, the SN41G2 has onboard GF4, where the SN45 has voltage adjustments.
no offence, but try not to give people the wrong info, they waste money that way.
kezzer, if you have a decent gfx card already, go for the SN45 the SN41g2 onboard is ok, but if you plan to play HL2, Doom3, Q4 etc, its gonna be pointless.
I went for the SN41G2, that way if my graphics card dies I'm not screwed and the SN41G2 could take on a new life as a HTPC box when upgrading to the AMD64.
I've got a decent graphics card already yah. Most people have recommended me the SN41G2 though because there's no real performance difference. One of my mates has one with a 9800 pro scoring like 17000. Obviously it's not that bad!
I'm not aware of ANY performance difference.
SN45G is ugly, SN41G2 is sexeh! End of story ;)
