i killed my mobo , advice on replacement please

been running the 7750BE @ 3.1ghz with no problem well until now , it just turned it's self off and would not restart . it has not lasted as long as my old asrock board . i need something to replace my old gigabyte ma-770-ds3 , something fairly cheap and support the 7750BE and phenom II , ideas please as i am back to using my old asrock mobo which does not like overclocking the 7750BE

Before you change your motherboard change your PSU!! EZ-Cool PSUs are notorious for taking out components as the power consumption rises during overclocking. The rating is also misleading as a good 400w PSU can actually provide more power than an EZCool 700w!! You would be lucky if could deliver half that power!!
In my experience it is the power supply which usually can cause a motherboard to prematurely die suddenly as the one you have is quite new.

Even large companies like Dell and even Medion use FSP made PSUs. Compared to the equivalent EZCool PSUs they are more expensive and even weigh more(better internal construction). A 450w FSP PSU usually costs than the 700W EZ Cool you use!!

If you are lucky sometimes Scan do a 700w FSP for half price on Today Only. It costs around £30 when on offer.

i now have a seasonic 550w 80 plus , i have taken the mobo to where i bought it . but it could take at least 14days to get a replacement under the warrenty , i would like a better one tbh . thx for the above urls

The Seasonic is a good investment BTW!! If you want to spend a bit more on a good overclocking motherboard there are some 790GX motherboards for under 100 quid on Ebuyer and Scan.

biostar make good overclockers for intel not sure on amd front look up some reviews they have good quality control aswell

J&W are a major chinese motherboard manufacturer. However they seem to be better known in Asia.

There seems to be two versions- an "F" and an "M" version. The "F" is cheaper and is a poor overclocker:

I want a 790gx board myself and after some advice from people here and reading lots of reviews I'm going to wait for Scan to get some J&W's in stock again. It seems a great board.

One review I read on a Gigabyte board said it burned out the mosfets with a 125W CPU. Maybe it was a one-off bad board.

A review I read about the Biostars said there was issues with the positioning of the sata sockets if you was using PCI cards.
