    USB DVD Burner kills Internet.

Hi, whenever i turn my usb dvd burner on (pioneer 112d) i've noticed it must somehow interfere with my router (tried 3 different routers, tried different usb and tired updated network card drivers).
The net connection goes dead as soon as the disk starts spinning..i've checked for conflicts and xp says there are none.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers, Roo

No errors at all and nothing special regarding network either..very odd isn't it.

Yeah I can't think of any other cases of this...

One thing it could be is if the voltages are dropping in your system or something due to the increased power draw. Does the DVD burner have an AC adapter or is it host powered?

Strange. Try contacting the MFR to see if they've heard of anything like this before.

Yeah it sounds like the enclosure. Does it happen when you plug it into other PCs?
