HTPC Tidy up (56k...dont even try)

Following TAKTAK's thread i decided that after ide neglected my media pc for so long it was time to give it a new lease of life.

Now i did buy a freezer 64 lp cooler for the cpu but it was just on full bore all the time and was noisy as hell so replaced it with the stock cooler for now (which i may add is silent anyway) until scan let me buy a freezer 64 pro.

CAUTION :: MANY CABLE TIES WERE HURT IN THE MAKING OF THIS THREAD

Please excuse the dirty bedroom, its now clean lol

    Did some cable tidying

Snipped the cable ties off, wires felt a little tidier at this stage

Did some cable routing, some more cable tidying and put a few sticky pads on to help with the cable routing. Also installed the Compro E900F Dual DVBT card

Quick shot of the back panel

Few connections ready to be plugged in, inc my home made coax cables that im quite proud of lol, the connections are perfect, perfect fit into both the Y adapter and my tv card.

Quick test to see if all is well

All plumbed in and working perfectly

And whilst i was taking pics i took a pic of my main pc (not a bad setup for a bedroom i dont think, half decent pc and a HTPC )

    Specs are as follows :

    HTPC

    AMD 5200+
    4gb ddr2 6400
    500gb samsung spinpoint
    Abit an-m2hd mobo w/ hdmi
Antec fusion black case with antec psu
    Samsung sata dvdrw
    32" samsung HDTV
    MCE keyboard (love it)
You will also see a 360 elite hooked up under there too

    Main PC

    Intel e6600 w/ freezer 7 cooler
    Gigabyte ds3 mobo
    4gb OCZ reaper
    Corsair HX520
    500gb samsung, 320gb samsung, 1tb samsung
    Gainward 8800gt w/ arctic cooler
    Silverstone TJ09 case
    Akasa card reader
    Zalman fan controller
    Samsung dvdrw
1x coolermaster 120mm red LED fan, 1x same but blue, 2x sharkoon golf ball fans
    1x 23" dell, 1x 19" wide samsung
    Logitech z640 speakers

Any questions feel free to ask

Main point of this thread is to show that you dont have to have a modular psu to have a half tidy case, the case isnt the biggest but i think ive done a half decent job

I actually returned the mce keyboard and bought the keysonic, just didn't get on with the mce on the whole, especially the mouse/stick.
The keysonic is ok but very fragile I've found.
Nice thread, my htpc is in a fusion black, think I may see if I can out do you in cable tie use.

Yeah what he said lol, people take the p!ss when i go on about cable tidying, hell if i worked on another system and it was really tidy on the inside ide praise the original builder, just..in a htpc you aint gonna have the best airflow, so anything i could do to help i just had to do it, even if it meant a hella lot of cable ties lol.
