Not sure if they deliver to Ireland though.

Twas in the same situation a while bk ,also considered getting that Q-tec 550 but then considering the horror stories (surprised Agent hasn't had his 5p on this matter ) i though id spend the extra and get a CWT, Got CWT 450BDP for £40 Inc P&P (what's that Silent? its not an "A" so its not a Re-named Antec...shuushh!) , now this puppy takes every thing i throw at it and ask's for me, havn't had one *strange* shutdown (because compy is not getting enough power).

The CWT 450BDP powers my 9800pro , 2.2xp (ok not that drainage), my two HD's (yes drainage), Dvd drive,Cd-Rw etc with not 1 hick-up, Go get it now

Thanks for the replies. Think I will dump my qtec 400 watt and get a CWT, Enermax or Thermaltake before it blows up me pc as I assemble it

    See Apex's post above

TBH I see alot here about Qtec don't have a true xx watt PSU
well everyone has a PSU to the claimed wattage but very few rate
them correct and most do quote peak watts.

Also I own a Qtec 550 been a good PSU under std loads keeps good
voltages, only when pushed does it start to nose dive and yes its
not as good as many other PSU's out there but its cheap.

Another of my PSUs is true rated 510watts @ 40deg 650W Peak Max short-term
600W at 25degs cost me alot but its good and very stable.

What most don't realise is the test conditions used to get that rated figure.

Most PSU's are rated for wattage at a temp of 25deg for the max stated
anything above 25deg has a power rolloff.

A 550W claimed PSU can have 1/2 that available power at 40deg typical is
    like 370 @ 40deg ... 240 @ 50deg

End of day there's figures and figures there all right in there own way, just
not very reflective of a desired set standard and misleading to the consumer
but correct in the claimed figures.
