Re: AMD Phenom X3 720 and X4 810 reviews!!
Is there a reason that, while posting on the Hexus forums, you don't include the Hexus review of the X3 720 and X4 810?
Re: AMD Phenom X3 720 and X4 810 reviews!!
I didn't know they had done one!! It is now added!! :)

Glad i held off upgrading now, the 720 is looking like a very good buy. I'll wait for prices to settle (and hope/pray that Biostar stop being ***** and release a Phenom II update for my mobo) then grab one. Hopefully the Intel/AMD price war brings them down to the £100 mark.

At the moment, the only thing hardware prices are doing is going up, which is a shame as I was going to get a C2D upgrade, but cant now
The Phenom II looks good for the money

That 720 is looking like a very good choice, particularly if you're like me and can't decide if dual core or quad core will be best!
Re: AMD Phenom X3 720 and X4 810 reviews!!
The X3 720 has the makings of a basis for a very good budget build!
Phenom X3 720 - around £120
790GX motherboard - around £80 to £85
4gb PC6400 DDR2 - around £40 to £45
PSU - around £50
HD4830 - around £90
500gb HDD - around £45
Case - around £30
DVD drive - around £15
Vista Basic - around £70
So for around £550 it is excellent value for money. Most of the reviews can get the X3 720 to at least 3.5ghz. Even at 3.2ghz it would be quite a fast processor!! :) A bit of overclocking of the HD4830 should also help for games too!! :)
