    Low level format utility

I have a maxtor 60gb IDE that needs a low level format/general formatting.

Looked at the maxtor website, http://www.maxtor.com/en/support/downloads/index.htm what program do i need? as there seems ot be a hell of a lot.

    THanks guys

use the program to make a boot floppy then boot that and select the low-level format option. doesn't work for nvidia chipsets.

Argg...i disliek power max, means i have to fanny about moving the hard drive

Cant use windows becuase it doesnt like it, it gets a bit of the way then says it cant do it. Also, i fdisk'ed and removed/re-created the partition, but it wouldnt re-create...got to 10% for checking integrity and goes back to 1%....

EDIT: Howard - i like the sig, but the women you had before was better
