Wireless scanning ability in all-in-one printer/scanner/copier

I'm looking for a multifunction device that enables me to scan wirelessly. I have seen an increasing number of all-in-ones that can print wirelessly but they don't say whether scanning wirlessly is possible. I want to put the multifunction device inside a cabinet and don't want to run a usb cable to the laptop. The Router is located above the printer so I could run a network cable if this would help scanning speed (although laptop is on a wireless connection).

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

My Canon MP600R does that. Speed on wireless seems fine (can't tell the difference TBH).

i assume you are talking about a multifunction printer that can print/scan/fax and it has a wireless network card built into it.
if so, then there really shouldnt be a problem, as im guessing the scanning software, or a config on the printer will sort all that out.

the scanning speed wont be effected by wireless, only the speed at which the end file can be transfered across the 'network'

I would be surpised (and a bit disapointed) if any multifunction device with a built in wireless card cannot do everything that it can do with USB over wirless instead.

Connecting a USB only MFD to a wireless bridge is another matter.

HP C7280 works just fine with scanning and printing over the wireless
