Hi folks,
I'm in a bit of bother, basically I installed a new Belkin Firewire/USB card (this one: http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProdu...duct_Id=125578) into my siblings PC, needed for DV editing.
Now everything was OK prior to installing the card on a Gigabyte P35C-DS3R motherboard, upon install everything - drivers that is seemed to install fine, now the problem is that if you want to turn the system off, it reboots. Even if I turn it off via the On/Off button, it reboots automatically, any ideas what could be the cause of this.... I'm sorry I have to leave this sort.. anything you need to ask to help please ask...I'll post further info when I can, THANKS.
UPDATE: 11/02/09
Okay folks, no go on what Gonzo said. So I had a look to see if I had disabled auto reboot, completely forgot about that, it was already disabled.
Everything in Device Manager, Event Log seem alright, no errors!
Has anybody used these Belkin PCI cards? Any problems?
Do you think that changing the card to another PCI slot might help? Does not seem to be conflicting IRQ issues?
Any more ideas on what I could try, I will later on remove the card and see if the issue goes away to confirm it is based on the Firewire PCI card install!
