Recommend me a Mobo please.
i currently have an asus p5k deluxe wifi, but am running into so many problems with it, that i want to burn it and get a new one.
So looking for recommendations that fit the following criteria:
- Supports ddr2-8500 ram
- 4-6 usb on mobo
- 4 or more SATA ports
- maybe inbuilt wifi
- can overclock a q6600 to 3.8ghz-4ghz.
- has esata
- socket 775
- is reliable/stable
- optical out (spdif)
- cheap
- has pci-e (x16) for my 8800gtx
Wouldn't mind getting a 2nd hand one if anyone is selling them.
If anyone could point me in the right direction or make any additional suggestions, i would be most thankful.
Re: Recommend me a Mobo please.
I think you'll have problems finding a mobo with wi fi, however I would look at the Asus P5Q range, currently have a "Deluxe" myself, and find it a very good board...the "Deluxe" is not exactly cheap, but there would be a good drop in price going S/H.

Re: Recommend me a Mobo please.
The Biostar TPower has some good reviews and is a good alternative to the Asus. The price is set at around the P5Q pro but with P5Q Deluxe performance.
Re: Recommend me a Mobo please.
thanks but its quite expensive. Looking for a relatively cheap or 2nd hand option
Re: Recommend me a Mobo please.
Have a look at the Gigabyte or DFI boards. - good overclockers and better value than Asus. :)

I was gonna sell you mine for that price, missed the post. Nice board, good overclocker, not the best, but good.
Re: Recommend me a Mobo please.
ah sorry about that.
what's bad about it mate?
Re: Recommend me a Mobo please.
Nothing really bad about it, just it's not the best board out there for overclocking but it's still got my E8600 upto 4.2GHz and more. It's got all the features you need and for £40 you can't moan. I paid £80 for mine. I suppose I just want i7
Re: Recommend me a Mobo please.
wow impressive.
i'm going to try to get my q6600 to 3.8ghz, maybe 4ghz if i'm feeling adventurous.
