    Gaming Mousepad

I'm looking to buy a gaming mousepad and I've heard that Razer make good products. I'm interested in their Goliathus line, but what is the difference between the speed/control series and which should I buy? Open to suggestions for other mousepads but preferably lower than £15 and available at Scan. The Omega size Razer pads look like an ideal.
    Thanks guys

    Re: Gaming Mousepad

I've got the eXactMat from Razer and I love it. It has speed and control sides/surfaces (double sided). Speed is alot smoother than control, and allows for quick movement across the mat. Where as with control you have a little resistance while gliding the mouse across, which gives you alot more control and accuracy in terms of mouse movement. I pretty much just use control.

Thanks guys, good advice. I think the eXactMat is a little to big for my desk. Will probably be using it vertically. Stuck between the control and speed now lol.

Quick question - will these mousepads work ok with a laser mouse?

It's open to debate - some people say optical mice are better, others say laser mice are better.

    Re: Gaming Mousepad

I'm a cloth mat only gamer and can't stand the plastic/glass things. Of all the mats I've tried, my personal favourite is the QPad. For reference, I'm using a Logitech G5.

You would notice a better improvement going to a cabled laser mouse...rather than buying a mousmat.

    Just my 2 cents..
