    Asus P5k Prem mobo audio

My Asus P5k Premium works fine, I have it going through the composite cable which should make it 5.1, but if i can get the best sound out of it that would be better (or it could be me just being picky lol).

The thing i'm trying to do is get the digital audio output into my Yamaha RX-V361 amp to play in 5.1 for films. When my dvd player audio signal changes my amp knows this and changes the speaker arrangement accordingly, even though my pc digital audio works, but not in 5.1 whilst watching a film or blu-ray disk.

Weather its down to the software i have (which is Cyberlink Hi Def suite with Power DVD 7, which is what came with my internal Blu-ray player) or a codec i need.

Has anyone else tried something like this and have any advice?
