    'plugged in, not charging'

quick search here found nothing on this, at least from titles!

yeh classic problem, inspiron 1525 on vista, around 8 months old, won't charge.

    tried the following already:

left it for ages plugged in and on
left it for ages plugged in while off
took battery out and reinserted it while on
left computer off overnight with battery out then retried in morning

these seem to be the 'common' solutions but no joy, any other suggestions?

Two months ago my friend had the same problem with his HP laptop, he went through all the known bug fixes and software tweaks he could find but nothing worked. He found dozens of forums with people who have the same problem, and they all seem to have Windows Vista.

He sent the laptop back to PC World and they replaced it.

Check these comments, maybe it will help. http://www.digwin.com/plugged-in-not...aptop#comments
