    Changing Hard Drives

Hey guys, im after a little bit of help

I have just aquired a 160GB Seagate S-ATA drive, what i want to know is how to transfer my current OS + Files over to the new one, i was thinking of Norton Ghost from my old 80GB IDE Seagate to my new SATA 160GB one but i dont know if Ghost supports SATA! Also, as i have used PATA before SATA (and installed windows using PATA) how do i go about making windows use my SATA drive if i manage to clone the 80 to the 160? Im thinking you just install the SATA Chipset drivers then plug the drive in yup? Cheers in advance!

Not sure about transfering the lot over, your best bet is a reinstall and if your using XP try the files and settings transfer wizard.

Windows shouldnt care if its PATA or SATA as the boot drive. Its your BIOS that will need to support booting from the SATA drive.

As for copying over, Norton Ghost (if fully updated) will support SATA fine
