    Question Best OC MB/RAM combo?

What's the best combo for high fsb speeds with good timings thats doesn't cost an arm and a leg? I've heard that the Abit IC7-MAX3 with GeIL Golden Dragon pc3500 is the best Intel setup? What about A64? My current system doesn't deliver more then 2.9 DDR voltage, and I find that a bit low. 3.1+ Voltage would be good. When i mean High i an talking over 250/260 FSB with 2-6-2-2 timings. Any memory besides BH5 chip that can deliver this?

    Thanks for any input

there isnt any that can deliver over 250 with those timings m8y. And tbh the geil doesnt get anywhere near those timings at standard speeds let alone when u overclock it. although i have to say that my old ic7 max3 used to let me overclock 10fsb higher tyhan my asus p4c800-e deluxe sp the motherboard is a good chice

you wont find any ch-5 that will do those timings at 250/260 fsb at ANY voltage that wont fry it instantly, at 3.2v u will be lucky to get ch-5 doing 2-6-2-2 at 220fsb...
so you are going to have to fork out if u want those timings and get some bh-5/6, bh-5 is becoming ever more rare, and i think the mushkin lvlII is now bh-6.

I've seen memory with 290+/- fsb, but i dunno with what timings. They used some shuttle MB that delivers Voltage to the memory from the +5V. I just heard a friend say it. Dunno if its true. But, what is the best OC memory then?

i think my memory could do 290 fsb but the timings would be very slack something along the lines of 3,4,4,7 these are the spd timings.

bh5 could do 255 at 2,2,2,6 with the right voltage

kavak the motherboard your talking about is the Shuttle AN50R, its the favourite amoung a64 overclockers atm because of this vmem mod you talk of. But 290fsb you see is usually only achieved by the people who really are legendary at this kind of stuff or have custom cascade cooling -90/110oC and memory that they can easily replace. Americans
